Link: Template

Note:
The deadline is for your initial Gantt chart draft. You will be turning in your completed Gantt chart within your final report.

Summary:
For this assignment, your project team will be representing the timeline of your project's activities as a Gantt chart. Download the template Gantt chart document above and fill out the contents of your planned activities and time frame. Below are the basic steps of filling out your Gantt chart:
  1. At the top-left side of the document, enter your project team's name.
  2. In the color-coded cells labeled NAME1 to NAME5, replace those cells with the names of your project team members. If your group has less than 5 members, then ignore or delete those remaining unused cells.
  3. Below the color-coded cells are numbers. The number beneath each color-coded cell is the value corresponding to that color.
  4. The cells located on the columns in alternating white and light gray labeled Week 3 to Week 15 represent the duration of your project.
  5. In the first column under Activity, write down the list of activities that you plan to accomplish over the course of the semester. Try to best predict what activities you will need to during over the semester.
  6. In the second column is the Plan Start. On the rows of each activity that you listed, put the the week number indicating when you plan to start that activity.
  7. In the third column is the Plan Duration. On the rows of each activity that you listed, put the number of weeks that you plan to perform that activity.
  8. Mark the cell intersecting the week number and the activity with the number corresponding to your project member's corresponding color-coded cell. The number will automatically turn the intersecting cell that color.
Keep the Actual Start, Actual Duration, and Percent Complete columns empty, since you will be filling out these columns over the course of the semester after your Gantt chart is approved.
