Summary:
For this assignment, your team will fill out and submit a weekly update report. This report will be reviewed by the TA before and during your project team's weekly update meeting. An overview of what needs to be included in the report is given below.
  • Team, Week, Members:
    • List the team's name, the current week number, and the names of each member in the team.
  • Proposed meeting agenda items:
    • List the proposed items on the agenda that you would like to discuss in the weekly meeting.
    • These items generally consist of important things that you would like to discuss with the TA and among yourselves for the week.
    • Make sure that these items are not vague.
  • Overall accomplishments since last week:
    • List the major overall accomplishments that your team completed from the week before.
    • These accomplishments will help your TA and the team gain a strong grasp of the current progress of the team.
    • Make sure that these items are not vague.
  • Assigned tasks from previous week:
    • List the tasks that each member of the team was responsible for, and whether the task was completed or not.
    • It is okay to list tasks that were assigned from the previous week that were not completed, but it is to your team's benefit to understand why the task was not completed yet.
    • Make sure that these items are not vague.
  • Plans for next week:
    • List the expected plans that you wish to complete for this upcoming week.
    • These plans should serve to continue your accomplishments from the previous week, address previous tasks that had not been completed yet, etc.
    • Make sure that these items are not vague.
  • Task assignments for next week:
    • List the tasks that each member of the team will be responsible for this upcoming week.
    • Ensure that these tasks are fairly distributed in workload for each team member and can be accomplished in the following week.
    • Make sure that these items are not vague.
  • Status Report:
    • Write a one-third to one-half page status report describing what your team did in the previous week.
    • Make sure that the status report is descriptive enough for the TA to understand but succinct enough to sufficiently summarize your report of your team's status for the week.
